Thoughts about The Guardian and Mr. Brooks

Some thoughts about KC's upcoming movies:

--The Guardian: A lot of great publicity in the cities where the filming is going on.
By the way, you folks in Kodiak, Alaska looking for something or someone to blame for the production moving--blame Hurricane Katrina. Had Katrina not been responsible for a month's delay in filming and a move from New Orleans to Shreveport, the production might not have left Kodiak, for producers' fear that things were going to get held up again by the volcano.
Also good is the efforts to maintain authenticity in this film. Hopefully, the authenticity and humanity will hold up in the editing process; too often, films with great scripts have been killed or badly wounded in the editing room, and KC's movies have been affected, too.

--Mr. Brooks: Shades of "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde," with two people playing the character (By the way, Spencer Tracy was hit by the critics for his role in that early-1940s movie, proving that it happens to everyone, including immortals.).
I've been told about some of the symbolism that William Hurt's character in "The Big Chill" had in relation to KC's character, which was cut from the film. They may play around with that symbolism a bit here.
As for Demi Moore: I'm not a big fan of hers, but I'm happy she was cast instead of some 25-year-old ingenue, which is the type of actress who usually gets these roles.
I hope this film goes well for KC.
