J.R.? N.O. (Please)

Variety says that KC is under consideration to play J.R. Ewing in a movie version of "Dallas." The article says he's reluctant (good), but he wants to see the rewrite.

My personal thoughts: John Travolta would be a good choice, and in fact seems to be the producers' first choice. Bruce Willis, who is not on this list, would also be a good choice.

KC? Uh-uh. If you've seen the show, you remember Larry Hagman's scenery-chewing performance. There's nothing subtle about JR Ewing, and KC is an actor who thrives on subtlety, both in character and story.
